remember, it's imperative to turn your aesthetic preferences into moral ones. you can't just dislike neutral colors, or glass-and-steel skyscrapers, or flat design, they have to be symbols of neoliberal capitalism in decay. it's incredibly important that you make sure everybody knows that the only reason anyone could like the things you don't like is that they're an empty shell of a person.

alright this is my own fault for not writing updates in a while but in fairness there’s not too much to say. garlic continues to no do great and in absence of any other cause i’m assuming it’s root rot. i need more sphagnum anyway so i’ll be Autopsying and repotting with all new soil….soon i guess? i’m not super excited i’m even sad but yknow it happens. i’m Learning from this experience though—the problem is i had it consistently filled far too high, keeping the roots not just wet but in water, which isn’t good. so i’m not repeating that mistake currently, i have it in just enough water to reach the bottom of the pot, and i’m doing the same with the pitcher who….well just look at this progress yall.

that first picture is from maybe a week or so ago, and that next one is from this morning. that tiiiiny red pitcher in the middle on the left? is the larger orangeish pitcher on the right. crazy growth and crazy fast—you can see the growth on the old new pitchers, the small green ones, has totally halted in favor of putting out more of those new red ones, which is exactly what i meant by it adapting to the better sun. i’m only a little sad that deep red doesn’t stay throughout! but i’m nonetheless excited to see what the true coloration of the plant is regardless.

the biggest change though is the NEPENTHES look at this! so that tiny new pitcher i’ve been updating yall on?

again this was over the course of the last week—it OPENED! unreasonably excited about this honestly. it’s also consistently putting out new leaves that just seem to be getting bigger and bigger! so it’s happy. i’ve been taking cues from windowsill nepenthes and i’m fairly sure it needs a repot but….it’s doing so well i feel really bad about doing it! i have no clue what kind of soil it’s in rn it’s just what i got from the nursery but it’s like….baffling that it’s working. when i see any bad signs i guess that’s when i’ll do it but for now ??????? it lives? the only thing is the leaves it puts out are a bit misshapen (curling and ruffling at their edges rather than being a smooth shape) which i can really only chock up to low moisture. current plan is maybe get a small humidifier but it’s just going to be lower in here than it should be just cause of where i live and that it’s inside. i’m keeping an eye on it in any case! this is what it looks like right now:

Saw another bad take that Peko and Nagito can’t stand each other. The man literally called himself Servant and y’all think he would look down on Peko

Meanwhile, Nagito hating Remnant Mikan is so real to me

the abolition of the prison-industrial complex requires the abolition of systems which sort human behavior into "legal" and "illegal" actions- this doesn't mean things like murder or theft will stop existing, it means our approach to them will change

the abolition of the psychiatric industrial complex requires the abolition of systems which sort human behavior into "normal" and "abnormal" actions- this doesn't mean things like anxiety or trauma will stop existing, it means our approach to them will change

== systems of classification created, maintained, and gatekept by oppressive institutions do not simply name experiences, they also carry connotations of power + punishment

if i may add, also sorting behavior into 'healthy' and 'unhealthy' while implicitly moralizing 'health.' this doesn't mean we no longer distinguish between helpful and harmful behaviors (which is context dependent), but don't classify them based on a moralized view of 'health'

an anti-curse or even a blessing
